Cognic AI FAQ for therapists and psychologists

A concise FAQ for therapists and psychologists evaluating Cognic as a documentation support tool.

What is Cognic AI?

Cognic AI is an assistant for therapists and psychologists. It supports session recording, speaker-aware transcription, structured AI summaries, conversation themes and SOAP-style notes.

Does Cognic replace the therapist?

No. Cognic supports documentation and post-session organization, but it does not replace therapist judgment, diagnosis, clinical decisions or the therapist-client relationship.

Can Cognic prepare SOAP notes?

Yes. After a session is processed, Cognic can help prepare an AI summary, conversation themes, a SOAP-style note and prompts for what may be worth reviewing before the next visit.

Does Cognic work on mobile and web?

Yes. Sessions can be recorded in the Android or iOS app, and the web panel lets signed-in users review sessions and summaries.

Do I have to store the recording and transcript?

Not always. At the start of recording, the therapist can choose whether to keep the recording and transcript or retain only the AI summary, depending on the documentation need and data minimization preference.
